Being Black is suddenly a trend, yet this is my everyday reality.
My skin strikes fear in the pale and make me a shooting target for cops
yet you spray tan yourselves darker and try to re-brand braids as "boxer braids".

Unfortunately besides Barack and Michelle, We've never had the media portray a healthy family structure. Black women are assumed to be angry or as gold diggers by the very men we defend with our lives.
Yet our men flock to you when they "get on", you try to profit from my culture, you see it as something that's a joke, WE'RE NOT LAUGHING.

Our big noses,"nappy" hair and big asses are seen as unmarketable by Vogue or not even considered beautiful.
But then you come around injecting silicone in your ass and lips to get as close to what is God-given to us.
You wear your hair braided and twerk, but lest not forget the millions of little black girls who sat between their mama legs to get those same braids or the women in African or the sisters in Magic city that show the movement we have naturally,
